DON’T BE STUCK—REVIVE YOUR FAITH
What do you do when you feel personally stuck when your life doesn’t seem to be going anywhere?
I recently re-read this statement:
“The first step forward, when you feel stuck, should be to take a step back.”
That statement immediately jumped into my spirit; you know the feeling when you hear or read something that wakes you up and “sticks” with you!
I have been pondering the value of that advice for weeks and believe it would benefit every area of our lives.
Below are thoughts to ponder and apply that wisdom to awaken your life and get it moving in the right direction!
GENERALLY SPEAKING, PEOPLE SEEM TO FALL INTO ONE OF TWO CATEGORIES.
1. Take charge and fix the problem or
2. Avoid the problem due to fear or confusion
You probably know immediately which category you fall into:)
WHEN WE FEEL STUCK, IT’S HEALTHY TO PERIODICALLY STEP BACK TO REFLECT ON WHO WE ARE, HOW WE HANDLE THINGS, AND WHERE WE ARE GOING IN LIFE.
1. Are our priorities in order?
2. Do we have a plan for our life? If so, can we clearly define it?
3. Are we honestly working daily to work that plan in each area of our lives?
Be gut-wrenching honest to determine where you naturally fall within those areas and how well your strategy works, then re-evaluate and adjust your plan as needed.
Some people think that those with happier, more productive lives result from having more advantages starting out.
Although there may be a bit of truth that those nurtured in a loving, well-balanced home have personal benefits or those born into a wealthier family, they too must go out into the cold, complicated world and navigate its rough seas!
Having family money or businesses handed to someone does not mean they can manage those benefits. It takes a plan, proper priorities, training, discipline, and hard work for anyone to succeed in life.
Sometimes, our life can be stuck due to taking so much for granted, not being truly grateful or not managing what we have right now, and maybe most importantly, holding anger and unforgiveness, which will always stop us in our tracks and hold us prisoner spiritually, emotionally, relationally, financially, physically, etc.
If we allow ourselves to live on autopilot, NOTHING WILL CHANGE, and we will remain stuck.
Not having a plan is like the captain of a ship not planning his course and taking necessary steps to check the mechanics, weather, obstacles, ports of call, etc.
Inevitably, unexpected weather or problems will arise, taking the ship off course due to a lack of planning and preparation.
Being unprepared will drive us to make the wrong decisions or overcompensate when fear is breathing down our necks because we get caught off guard or are unsure of ourselves.
Honestly, at times, we humans can be naive, lazy, and lack the knowledge to make a life plan and work it to accomplish a strong, healthy, joy-filled life.
You may look around, and others seem to know what life holds for them: thriving careers and significant relationships are falling into place while you cry until you have no more tears, asking why your life feels stuck.
HAVE YOU EVER FELT GOD DOESN’T SEE YOU OR ANSWER YOUR CRY FOR HELP?
Even when you feel stuck, and everything in life seems to be at a standstill, don’t forget that when we ask God to get involved, we follow His lead and do our part; he has also been preparing and equipping the people who are assigned to be part of your journey.
When the moment comes that the necessary things and people are in place, the windows of heaven will be opened, and everything will come together for your good.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Revive your faith in God today, get in the game of life, set your priorities, get busy walking them out, and keep a watchful eye because God is working on your behalf, and one day soon, He will show you His mercy and surprise you ♥️
