We are also many times misunderstood by others who judge. The Bible says in Matthew 7:1-3: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. ‘Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?’”
Judging is forming an opinion or conclusion about individuals or groups of people. If we’re honest, many times our conclusions are wrong and are shaped negatively. We are not born to be the “world’s judge.” We can’t tell everybody how to live or how to love God when our opinions are not sought out. It can have the opposite effect than what we are hoping for and can be harmful. Rather, we must display the love and truth of God in our own lives to others around us.
Don’t get caught complaining to everyone either, but bring your worries to God and speak to Him instead. Seek God for the wisdom you need!
