Have you ever been looking forward to something or some task, but when it came time to begin you got anxious or felt like you couldn’t do it?
When you’re doing something for God, and He has led you to it, He has already placed what you need inside of you to get it accomplished. You just need to reach—and reach deep if you need to—and pull out that inner strength paired with confidence that only comes from having God next to you.
The enemy will whisper in your ear that you are unequipped. He will try to fill you with fear and restlessness in subtle undertones. In anything that you do for God, you must be aware that the enemy does not want you to succeed, and any time you give place to fear or doubt he wins a little.
Even if you do get knocked down, reassure yourself that God has your back! It may be a daunting task, but you’ve got what you need! Allow God to show up when you are questioning, and continue to step forward in faith! You will never regret acting in obedience rather than on feelings.
Each time you overcome these kinds of hurdles, you will grow in strength and endurance making you more steady and secure for anything else that comes your way!
“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1:2-4
