Beauty and tribulation present themselves at unexpected times. Though we can’t predict when we will encounter either, we always have a decision about how we accept them into our lives. Will you slow down enough to take in and appreciate the beautiful things? Will you allow the hardships, evils, and temptations in the world to consume your heart into bitterness or anxiety?

Your point of view is everything. What you base your perspective on is crucial, and equally important to be aware of what exactly that is.

If you knew a source that you could build your mindset on that always applied peace, power, and truth, would you tap into it? One that led you to the right choices and subsequent consequences? One that filtered out evil and emphasized beauty based on wisdom and love?

The Holy Spirit is that source. He’s not something of the past that’s written about in the Bible thousands of years ago. He’s alive today, available today, and relevant today—for YOU! The Holy Spirit is a source that goes beyond the physical and cannot be taken away by any means of man or nature. When you invite the Holy Spirit in your life, no matter your pain, you will receive His strength.

Whether it’s a power-packed decision you need to make, or just daily help and guidance, there is peace, power, and truth waiting to lead you the right way. Luke 24:49 says the Holy Spirit will fill us with power from heaven, the same power Jesus gave to open His disciples’ minds to understand the scriptures.

You have an opportunity to really get to know the Holy Spirit’s wisdom, His promptings, His protection, and His discernment to guard our hearts from the swaying temptations of fire and ice in this world—a gift freely given. Maybe you once knew Him, but circumstances in life faded your focus on Him. He’s waiting for your return, available to you again.

He’s whispering, “Come to Me, let Me in, let Me help.” Your burdened heart can rest. Your tired mind can ease. Your suffering can lift. The Holy Spirit will give you fresh perspective and unshakeable peace. Get to know Him, invite Him in, and He will remind you of who you truly are.

“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 2:5-6
