Accomplishment, success, goals, victory, achievement. These are words to describe our intention to go much further in our lives. It’s a good thing to want to grow and pursue our dreams—and it is absolutely OK with God. But in what direction does God want us to grow? Does everything we want line up with what God wants?

“God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love – like Christ in everything. We take our lead from Christ, who is the source of everything we do. He keeps us in step with each other. His very breath and blood flow through us, nourishing us so that we will grow up healthy in God, robust in love. The Old Way Has to Go.”
Ephesians 4:15-16 MSG

In everything you do, first seek God, because if you pursue your goals your own way with your own wisdom, you can end up getting hurt or hurting someone you love in the process.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”
2 Corinthians 5:17

Apostle Paul warned the Corinthian church that their old way of living had to go so the truth of God could show up in order to be an example of God’s love and mercy. In order to grow, we have to let go! If God is the source of everything we do, will everything we do then be blessed? YES!! Everything that leads to Him and is under His guidance will be blessed and grow.

Instead of trying to make things happen on your own, rest in God and make Him the source of your blessing!

“Good will come to all the nations of the earth by your children and their children’s children. Because you have obeyed My voice.”
Genesis 22:18
