His Love

The expanse of God’s love goes beyond comprehension. We won’t fully understand it until we see Him face to face, but we can experience it deeply through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

God doesn’t just have love for us, He is love. Everything that He has done, is doing, and will do flows from love. It’s who He is, it’s His nature, and it reaches across all things. It stretches to the unloveable, the unlovely, the depressed, the broken, and those who have turned away. Nothing can break it, not even our biggest doubts or fears. It encompasses all and is available to all. It doesn’t consider age, race, or gender. It doesn’t keep score or hold standards, but is pure unadulterated love without judgment.

It goes against what makes sense in this world. It is the only thing that can destroy hatred and evil. It’s beyond powerful. And it’s for you.

God doesn’t love because He has to, He chooses to give Himself—love—to you freely! None of us deserve it, but yet He wants to shower you with His love. Even if you don’t return His love back to Him, it doesn’t change His love toward you. It’s steadfast.

The most undeniable example of His love is found on the cross. He gave it all so we would know what love is and have the opportunity to share it.

“But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5
