An exchange of beauty for ashes also illustrates justice being served. Our sufferings and trials do not go unnoticed, and out of their ashes God brings reward.

“For I, the Lord, love justice. I hate robbery and wrongdoing. I will faithfully reward My people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them.” Isaiah 61:8

God hates wrongdoing especially when it happens to His people and He promises justice. The thing that is difficult for us to handle is that He brings His justice in His perfect timing, not necessarily when we would like it to. Even though it may not happen when we think it should, we can hold on to the truth that He is faithful!

We are not promised that we won’t experience trouble, actually we are told that we will experience trouble in this life in John 16:33:

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Don’t get caught questioning God and His timing when waiting for justice.

Take heart because in our troubles we can count on God’s restoration. Take heart because in the end God wins, and therefore we as His children win. Take heart because there won’t always be hardship and pain, no, it will be exchanged for joyous blessing!
