After reading the article, you can see that our Christian faith is based on the sacrifice Jesus paid on the cross for our sins. Sin is described as missing the mark or falling short of doing things God’s way. If we are honest with ourselves, we will admit we are all sinners. Christ’s sacrifice pays the penalty for the sins you and I commit. That’s why in John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
Jesus is the way because He deals with our sins so we can have a relationship with a Holy God (Holy means sinless).
Each of us must accept what Christ did on the cross to have a relationship with God.
After years of self-reliance, I knew I didn’t have what it took to get my life in the right direction and keep it there. I started and stopped more times than I could count until I was finally at the end of myself, gave up control, and asked God for help. That’s when I found forgiveness, love, and a fresh start.
Once I committed to following God’s way of thinking and doing, I started seeing differently and realized so many things were not as I had perceived them to be. It changed my life.
