letting go of distractions[vc_row][vc_column border_color=”” visibility=”” width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column border_color=”” visibility=”” width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]
You finally get to a quiet place, open your Bible and pursue an experience with God; then the doorbell rings—it’s distraction.

Aside from sin, distraction takes the lead when it comes to missing out on God. As important as it is to seek a true, authentic experience with God, it is also important to identify what things in your life can intrude and prevent you from connecting to Him.

Wisdom calls for self-reflection. We’ll never reach a moment in our lives that we won’t benefit from it anymore. Taking a step back and looking for problem areas is part of growing and moving forward!

Find those things that put a wedge between you and God. Whatever it may be—a relationship, social media, routine, money, work—it’s not worth hanging on to if it obstructs your relationship with God.

Approach Him with reverence and a spirit of worship. A true experience hinges on us letting go of distraction and letting God reveal Himself to us!

“He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’ The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”
Psalm 46:10-11
