Our set of choices; our free will to decide which way to go, how to react, and what to pursue determine the course of our lives. Little by little these decisions shape us into who we are. It’s all the more reason to involve God in our lives and goals, and He is ready to guide us down the right path.

Be wise and seek His counsel. Use your mind and search the Bible. Make choices that reflect it.

Does it mirror and honor God? Does it benefit those around you as well as yourself? Does it match the teachings in scripture? All are important questions to ask prior to choosing which way to turn, and we can all agree, we need more of God in our lives and in our country.

When we lean on our own understanding, rather than yield to the direction of the Lord, we will find ourselves eventually stumbling down a path we do not recognize, and farther away from Him than ever.

Draw near to Him and invite Him into your decisions. He is infinitely more prepared to offer us clarity than we are on our own. We truly will find ourselves successful when we yearn for more of Christ and less of ourselves. We have been saved by grace, and He has promised to guide our steps!

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2
