God Performed a Miracle Through Faith When My Life Was At Risk

Is there anything more wonderful than the birth of a child? For a mother, the nine months she carries the precious gift close to her heart is the most treasured moment to her.

In the 8th month with my second child, the doctors told me there was a serious danger to my life and my baby’s. In the following lines, I want to share a testimony of faith in Christ and His nature as a good and loving Father.

It all started one night when I came home from a long walk in the early 8th month of my pregnancy. In the evening, I felt severe pain in my left leg and couldn’t walk. The next morning my husband and I went to the emergency room for a doppler ultrasound test. The doctor saw a clot that was not completely attached to the vein wall and could come off at any time. The consequences of this could be fatal if the clot went to the lungs or brain. I was immediately admitted to the hospital for monitoring and treatment.

I couldn’t believe this was happening; however, I had no choice. I was even forbidden to get up from the bed to reduce any movement that would cause the clot to separate and go up the vein.

When my husband, son, and I were left alone in the hospital room, I asked God only one question: “Lord, why me?”

Instead of blaming someone, especially God, I decided to change my perspective. I needed to see this situation as an opportunity to be strong and to tell my children that they should never give up and believe 100% in the power of Christ.

I made only one decision: to believe what God had promised me.

Every day in the hospital, I went to bed and got up, confessing His great promises written in the Bible and the personal word He spoke about my life.

One morning, looking out the hospital window, I saw how small our city is. The sky and the fields were so vast it seemed like the city was lost compared to their infinity.

Then a thought came to me: “My problem is so small compared to the mercy of my Heavenly Father. In the infinity of His love, all fear and uncertainty lose their power.”

Since then, peace has come to my whole mind, and I have been convinced that even if I do not feel better, in the end, I will have a testimony of my healing.

Our victories depend not on our feelings but on God’s unchanging love and word.

After ten days in the hospital and treatment, a follow-up examination showed that the blood clot had disappeared, and after two weeks, I gave birth to a healthy baby girl Ruth.

I learned something important – when we trust God and are thankful, especially during difficult times, we will discover true faith and His strength to overcome life’s challenges.

Whatever you go through, remember that we believe in a God whose love and mercy are boundless. Let us bequeath our lives of faith and testimonies of Christ’s power and love to the next generation!
