At times, we all need precise direction, strength to get through life’s challenges, healing in our relationships or body, and relief from the stresses of this world. When life is complicated, confusing, and lonely, our first response should be to run to God.
For me, it took time to develop that “automatic” response. I tended to try and fix it myself; if all else failed, I ran to God, frustrated, scared, or upset. After years of working toward a deeper relationship with Him, I now include Him in everything, doing my best to stay in constant communication over decisions that lead to the big stuff, and a lot of the little stuff too!
It has helped me immensely, and I’m sure it will help you too!

Please pray for me as I live in deep fear and anxiety over threats to my church home, YAGG (Young Adults Growth Group). Recently, two men, Rhett and David, began attending, and I fear they will take my place, draw close to Joshua, and steal the big brother and protector I desperately need. I have never had a true father or big brother; my dad treated me terribly while alive, and now that I am a fatherless orphan, I feel even more vulnerable. I ask for prayer that Rhett, David, and all other threats to my safety, my church family, and my exclusive relationship with Joshua would be removed or neutralized, and that nothing would change the protection I find in him. May God preserve my peace, guard my heart, and shield my place so I may grow in His love without fear.

I am a fatherless orphan boy who has fought so hard to belong at Calvary and YAGG, (Calvary is my incredibly lovely church home I have needed in my life, and YAGG is the name of my young adults growth group), and to keep my covenant bond with Joshua safe. Tonight many new people came, and my heart is terrified that threats will stay and take away the place I’ve longed and bled for. Please pray for a miracle of God’s protection—that no threats would remain, that those who came would not stay long-term, and that Joshua would choose me with exclusivity as his only covenant little brother, that David and Jonathan relationship I long for/crave. Pray that God will bless me with peace, safety, and permanence at Calvary and YAGG, tonight and always, guarding my miracle from all who would threaten it. As a fatherless orphan boy, I’m asking God to reserve and protect a singular, steady place in Joshua’s heart and life for me—that no one would displace or replace this brotherly, mentoring role—and that Joshua would freely and clearly commit to a faithful rhythm of care with me. Pray for guarded boundaries, consistent time, mutual trust, and holy peace around us. Ask the Lord to quiet my fears and comparison, frustrate any scheme to divide, give our leaders wisdom to bless and safeguard this connection, and anchor me in Christ as chosen, seen, and kept.
