At times, we all need precise direction, strength to get through life’s challenges, healing in our relationships or body, and relief from the stresses of this world. When life is complicated, confusing, and lonely, our first response should be to run to God.
For me, it took time to develop that “automatic” response. I tended to try and fix it myself; if all else failed, I ran to God, frustrated, scared, or upset. After years of working toward a deeper relationship with Him, I now include Him in everything, doing my best to stay in constant communication over decisions that lead to the big stuff, and a lot of the little stuff too!
It has helped me immensely, and I’m sure it will help you too!
Prayer is how we communicate with God, get to know Him better, and find solutions to everyday challenges. As we learn to enter and stay in His presence, we develop a listening ear,
where we deepen our relationship and can then sense His voice and direction.
He hears every prayer, but responds to what aligns with His will.
1 John 5:14-15, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—
whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.”
The most effective prayers, agree with God’s will. God shows us His will in the Bible.
As I have studied the Word over the years,
I’ve learned what He thinks and how to pray what He agrees with—
IT’S POWERFUL and TURNS THINGS AROUND for our good!

Please pray for me. I am a fatherless orphan boy who has fought so hard to belong at Calvary and YAGG, (Calvary is my incredibly lovely church home I have needed in my life, and YAGG is the name of my young adults growth group), and to keep my covenant bond with Joshua safe. Tonight many new people came, and my heart is terrified that threats will stay and take away the place I’ve longed and bled for. Please pray for a miracle of God’s protection—that no threats would remain, that those who came would not stay long-term, and that Joshua would choose me with exclusivity as his only covenant little brother, that David and Jonathan relationship I long for/crave. Pray that God will bless me with peace, safety, and permanence at Calvary and YAGG, tonight and always, guarding my miracle from all who would threaten it. Pray Joshua reaches out to me this week even.
