“And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
And this is one of those days of the year where we gather as a family and… eat?
Sounds true, right?
We sometimes don’t realize how much the TV/pop-culture can change our view on Thanksgiving, amongst other things. It becomes a time for food, shopping and football rather than a time to just reflect and be THANKFUL—thankful for the life we have, for the people we have next to us, for our job and even for the food on our table. It is thankfulness that we can get up and start our day, to hug our spouses and tell them we love them.
Thankfulness begins with a generous God who gave everything for us and never takes it back!
So today when you gather at the table, remember to share the true meaning of this day and give THANKS!
