When you choose to portray the beauty within rather than the beast, you also choose to really love. By allowing real love to rule in your life, you capture the heart of God and His desire to resonate through you.

It’s not just a one-time decision. We will deal with the inner struggle of wanting to do right and loving to do wrong throughout our entire lives. You have to make a conscious daily decision to feed what you want to portray, and logically, what you feed most—beauty or beast—is what will grow.

How do you treat others? What are you feeding? Love or selfishness? Bitterness or forgiveness? Peace or strife?

We have a true measuring stick in Christ to figure out what we are feeding most. When we come into relationship with Him we are not only saved through grace but we are also offered His wisdom to balance out right and wrong.

If you’re thinking you’ve been living one way for too long and it’s too late to change, remember though it may be bittersweet and strange, you can learn where you were wrong and change for the better with God’s help.

“So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.” 2 Peter 2:1-3
