YOU CAN’T GROW WITHOUT CHANGE

The most significant power we can tap into to grow is praying God’s Word!

God’s Word teaches us how to grow by revealing who He is, who we are, and how to live this life successfully. He also teaches us who our enemy is, how he works, and how to respond to his attacks AND WIN!

When we pray God’s Word, we are agreeing with Him, His will, and His power to defend and defeat!

WE GROW AS WE LEARN AND EXPERIENCE HIS POWER.

Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the Word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”

The Word of God is living, and it breathes life into us. It is active, dynamic, and miraculous. It is vigorous and lively because the Spirit of the living God is the eternal power source that moved holy men of God to pass on His supernatural message to us through the living Word of the living God.

SO, HOW DO WE GET THIS POWER WORKING IN OUR LIVES?

God’s power belongs to His people!

So, our first step toward tapping into His power is to enter into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and His shed blood on the cross.

Jesus’s sacrifice was the ultimate act of love and a necessary one to defeat sin in our lives and the devil’s strategies to destroy us.

All too often, we take what Jesus did for granted without realizing His sacrifice alone gives us the ability to grow as we come into a relationship with God, receive forgiveness for our wrongdoing, gain the wisdom to make the right decisions moving forward, and the power to fight and defeat the enemies of sickness, disease, divorce, anger, trauma and everything else the enemy throws at us.

Entering into a relationship with God to receive all the benefits He provides is not just a simple prayer, then go about our lives as we did before. You can’t grow without change.

An authentic relationship and the power that comes with it requires us to surrender our lives to Him, yielding ourselves to living His way and for His purposes.

Romans 10:9-11 says,
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, for it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God and by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.

Once we enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ, we become students, learning a new way to live this life and deal with life’s challenges through His wisdom and strength, not ours any longer.

The more we grow and understand the Word of God, the better equipped we become to successfully overcome life’s obstacles and defeat the devil’s tactics.

PRAYER IS INVITING GOD AND HIS WORD INTO THE SITUATION.

His Word is all-knowing, just, alive, active, sharp, precise, effective, and sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), dividing God’s will from satan’s.

The Holy Spirit is sent to be our Helper and brings with Him all the wisdom of God and the power to help us do our part so that God’s power can be released to perform even the toughest miracles.

That power shows up when we invite Him into the situation, allowing Him to change the person, the problem, and us.

Pray, pray, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.
