There are so many things in life we cannot control, and often, we wonder if there is something more.

If you have ever asked if there is more for you, the answer is YES, and it’s wonderful! You must persevere through the heartache and trials because what waits on the other side of that mountain far outweighs them. It is everlasting joy.

Everlasting joy is found in Jesus Christ and is sustained through a relationship with Him.

Psalm 22:26 says, “The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek the Lord will praise Him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.”

To those who mourn, praise Him in times of pain. To those in financial crisis, praise Him in times of lack. To those who feel trapped, praise Him when you feel hopeless. Your heart will rejoice because praise and prayer always change situations from the inside out!

Joy combats adversity because it is everlasting. Happiness is fleeting; joy is deep-rooted. That is why we can still be joyful even in the most challenging situations. Most of all, everlasting joy results from the hope that salvation brings.

“I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10

Look up when everything else tells you to look down. Stand up even when you’ve been knocked down. Raise your hands and release all you’ve been trying to carry on your own.

You will be filled with everlasting joy!

“Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” Isaiah 61:7
