Many things can make you happy, but lasting satisfaction is found through a personal relationship with God.
The world has groomed us to look for happiness around us through other people, careers, houses, clothes, relational status, etc. The problem is, people and things constantly change, preventing us from finding lasting satisfaction.
Many people find themselves at the breaking point before looking beyond what this world and the people around them have to offer.
We must let go of the need to keep everyone around us thinking we are something we are not and tame our human side, which craves MORE OF EVERYTHING, all of which keep us in a rat race of never enough!
REAL LIFE is beyond what this world and other people can offer; it comes as a result of us developing a relationship with our Creator, who loves us right where we are, as we are—no questions asked.
You only need to open your heart and surrender your life to His keeping and direction.
Jeremiah 29:11 says I know my plans for you, declares the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.
The journey of REAL LIFE starts through John 3:16-18 which says,
“This is how God loved the world (that’s you and me); He gave His one and only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world but to save the world through Him. There is no judgment against anyone who believes in Him.”
Learning to trust God and His promise of unconditional love and forgiveness took me time. But once I did, the whole world’s weight lifted off me, and I found profound peace, strength, and hope that I had never had before.
I cry as I remember the miracle of forgiveness and unconditional love I received at 26 years old and have experienced continually ever since.
I am not perfect by any means, yet God still loves me. I am amazed and humbled, never wanting to take His love and patience for granted, as it is an undeserved gift of unwarranted—unconditional love.
Today, if you feel like you are carrying the weight of the whole world on your shoulders and have to live a performance lifestyle, keeping everyone around you happy as you suffer in silence, I pray you choose to invite God into every part of your life. He will heal, comfort, and direct your steps!
You will never have that sense of being alone, misunderstood, or lost again.
God will lead you on His way, the way He purposed for your life, which will bring you a deep sense of purpose and peace❤️
