Waiting for new things can be difficult in a world that thrives on instant gratification and quick fixes.

We all desire change and new experiences, but it’s crucial to remember that true transformation starts from within.

New opportunities, fresh beginnings, and meaningful relationships are often unfulfilled when we fail to work on the most critical area of our lives.

What’s the missing piece of the puzzle?

Proverbs 4:23,
“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

This verse is a beacon of hope, guiding us to embrace change first within ourselves, which will prepare us for new experiences to come.

Our heart is not merely an organ that pumps blood but is the wellspring of life itself. Our heart represents the core of who we really are, encompassing our thoughts, emotions, and desires.

This verse encourages us to diligently guard our hearts ( thoughts, emotions, and desires ), as their condition will profoundly influence our lives.

To experience new things, we must undergo a process of inner transformation. This transformation involves allowing God to work in our hearts, molding us into individuals aligned with His will.

Only when our hearts are changed and aligned with God’s can we truly experience His best.

This internal transformation allows us to see the world with new desires, thoughts, and emotions, opening the door to God’s opportunities.

Guarding your heart involves being mindful of what you allow to influence you.

Matthew 12:34 says, “…for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” What you let in your heart through your Eye Gate and your Ear Gate will exit through your Mouth Gate. This is why Solomon warned us to guard our hearts with all vigilance.

It means we are responsible for nurturing our hearts to be receptive to God’s love, grace, and guidance while resisting thoughts and feelings that hinder our transformation into His likeness.

Waiting for new things can be challenging, but during this period, our faith and trust in God and our character are developed and refined.

His timing may not be as we wish, but it will be perfect because you allowed Him to change your heart and prepare you for what’s to come.

Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Isaiah 43:19, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

So, let us embrace this challenge with faith, obedience, and patience, knowing that our circumstances will change as our hearts are transformed ❤️
